Applications Are Now Open For The 2027 Spirit Award Grants!

(The application period for the 2027 Spirit Award Grants will close on November 15, 2026.)

The Bettie Brand Mothers' Empowerment Fund’s mission is to provide women in need with a hand up, not a hand out, so that they may live with dignity and independence.  To that end, we annually award grants of up to $10,000 for women who are in financial need and can use a grant to move towards achieving financial independence for themselves. The grants may be used only within the state of Georgia. Spirit Award recipients are asked to “pay it forward” in whatever way they find possible in the future (for example, volunteering to help another woman in need).

To apply for a grant, either complete and submit the online forms below - or download the forms in either PDF or Word format, complete offline, and email to Spirit.Award@bettiebrand.org. Note that both a Candidate Application Form and a Partner Organization Recommendation Form must be submitted for a candidate to be considered.
