Ashley Johnson’s story is one of sacrifice, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to her children. A single veteran mother, she faced homelessness after relocating to protect her daughter from severe bullying. Despite the challenges, Ashley refused to give up on her dreams.

A Battle for Stability
Moving to a safer community came with financial hardships, including job loss and the struggle to keep her family housed. Through sheer determination, Ashley found support, secured housing, and began rebuilding her life.

A Future in Nursing
Ashley has always been passionate about healthcare and was already working in the medical field before putting her education on hold due to financial constraints. The Spirit Award will allow her to return to school and complete her nursing degree.
