Mattie Spencer-Henry: A Lifetime of Care Leading to a New Dream

For 37 years, Mattie dedicated her life to caring for others—her children, grandchildren, and her elderly father, a Korean War veteran. She put her dreams on hold time and again to ensure her family had the support they needed. Now, she is finally focusing on herself and pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse.

Mattie’s passion for healthcare has always been present. She has worked as a caregiver for decades, tending to the elderly with dignity and respect. However, becoming a nurse has remained an unfulfilled aspiration. Now, at this pivotal moment in her life, she is taking the necessary steps to make her dream a reality.
