Spirit Award Candidate Application

Each year the Bettie Brand Mothers' Empowerment Fund (BBMEF) awards grants (up to $10,000) to be used within 3 years, to a Georgia woman 17 years or older who needs a hand up - not a hand out - to help her journey toward a life of independence with dignity.  The BBMEF asks that Spirit Award recipients make a commitment to "pay it forward" in the future, however they are able. (Example: helping another woman in need.)

Directions:  Please fill out Part A (Current Information) and Part B (Essay and How The Award Will Be Used) of the online application below, as honestly and completely as possible.

Please only complete and submit one application.)
